Two of the world's major airlines, Emirates and Qantas, working together to shorten the distance Australia and Europe. Trimmed flight travel time on average up to two hours.
Emirates and Qantas officially began their historic cooperation, marked the first Qantas flight from Sydney and Melbourne to London. Flight through an international hub in Dubai on Sunday, March 31, 2013.
"Now, our customers are from Adelaide, Brisbane, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney have a one-stop access to 65 destinations in the Middle East, North Africa, the UK, and Europe through a network with Qantas and Emirates," said Chief Executive Officer Alan Joyce Qantas in his press conference to Okezone, Tuesday (04/02/2013).
This cooperation will make long-distance travel more convenient and faster for millions of tourists Australia. With it, traveling between Australia and Europe will be faster than the usual two hours.
"Two of our airline will offer the largest fleet of Airbus A380 joint. Passengers will be welcomed through Concourse A, the first in the world specifically for the A380 at Dubai International Airport, and is the geographical center of this partnership," said Tim Clark, President Emirates Airline
In addition, Qantas and Emirates passengers will get a variety of products, as well as take advantage of privileges when flying with two of the airline's network. "Passengers will get points, and also be able to access both the airline lounge while waiting for a flight," he added.
